Meet Our Attorneys
Mark Nickels, a forming partner of Nickels & Weddle, PLLC, has been practicing law for over 20 years. He is a professional member of the community and a member of The National College for D.U.I. Defense. He is known in North Mississippi as Mr. D.U.I. and when other D.U.I. attorneys need advice they call Mr. Nickels.
John D. Weddle, also a forming partner of Nickels & Weddle, PLLC, began his legal career working as a Judicial Law Clerk while still putting himself through law school. After graduation he became an associate attorney, and later a partner of that same firm, before branching out on his own. While operating as a solo practitioner, he became a Lee County Public Defender. Mr. Weddle has had many successes in each area of law he practices; however, we are extremely proud of his achievements in criminal defense. By focusing on a desire to win the case, and providing his clients with a vigorous defense he has not only kept many innocent clients out of jail, but he has earned an acquittal and directed verdict in capital murder cases. In addition to maintaining an active practice, he also serves on the Bench as a Judge for the City of Tupelo Municipal Court. Whether handling a divorce, personal injury case, a claim for workers compensation, or a serious felony offense, Mr. Weddle has the experience, the knowledge, and the integrity to represent his clients in a competent, vigorous, and dignified manner.
Angela S. Brooks has been part of the Firm of Nickels & Weddle, PLLC since 2004. She has been a wonderful addition to our firm bringing in her experience in criminal litigation. Mrs. Brooks also has a broad knowledge of Family Law matters. She is the person that will fight for your rights, and understands what families face when going through a crisis. She has a deep sense of commitment to help alleviate the pain involved in high conflict divorces and child custody. Whether you are facing a criminal matter or issues of family law, she takes the responsibility of your case extremely serious and never forgets how much is at stake in every single case.
